CommentThis cemetery is located one hundred feet south of Kingston Road, Route #138, at telephone pole #664. It is 65 feet x 35 feet, in fair condition, with no enclosure, and the historical cemetery sign is in good condition. There are at least 31 burials, as Arnold noted 25 fieldstones and six inscribed stones. James N. Arnold recorded this yard Nov. 13, 1880, his #239, “On land of Dea. Hopkins east of his house a burial yard of his family in lot unprotected. He noted that there was one large fieldstone-marked grave and commented, “perhaps first settler of tract.” Recorded by John Sterling and James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
