CommentThe Colvin Cemetery is located on the east side of Colvintown Road, on a hill at the southeast corner of Colvintown Road and Meadowbrook Farm Road at telephone pole # 25. The cemetery is 130 ft x 130 ft, in fair condition, and enclosed with granite posts and iron rails three sides. The west side is protected by a stone wall. The historic cemetery sign is in fair condition. There are 80 burials with 60 inscribed stones. James N. Arnold visited this lot on 6 Oct. 1905 and noted, “On road beside it and near the Colvin District School House, lot bank wall on road, granite posts and iron rods on three sides, yard in good order” (Vol. 6, Books E and H, page 1329). Charles and Martha Benns transcribed this cemetery in 1941, their #915. Amelia K. Whitford also transcribed this cemetery. Recorded by Dr. Bill Eddleman and John Sterling for a 1998 book on Coventry cemeteries
