CommentThis lot is located 100 feet south of Harkney Hill Road, behind the house at #2725, at telephone pole #134. There is a large flat step rock in the gateway to keep cattle out. It is 20 ft x 35 ft, in excellent condition, and enclosed with a stone wall. The historic cemetery sign is in good condition. There are nine burials all marked with marble gravestones. James N. Arnold visited on 25 July 25 1905 and noted, “Alfred Matteson yard beside road on farm now owned by Stephen Franklin, southwest of Quidneck, lot well walled and in fine order” (Vol. 6, Book A, page 1007). Charles and Martha Benns transcribed this lot in 1935, their #721. Recorded by Dr. Bill Eddleman and John Sterling for a 1998 book on Coventry cemeteries
