CommentThis lot is located 1,200 feet east of Ministerial Road at telephone pole # 9243. To get to this cemetery, walk east on an old farm road 2/10 of a mile south of pole #9243 and just after crossing Genesee Brook, cross the old railroad bed, now the bicycle path, and follow the old road 150 feet. Then go 135 feet to the right to the stone wall. It can also be easily reached from the bicycle path. It is thirty feet by forty feet in fair condition, unprotected, and the historical cemetery sign is in good condition. There are 24 marked burials with eleven inscribed stones and twelve fieldstones. James N. Arnold visited this lot Feb. 25, 1880, his #25, “on Toby Neck we find this yard in sight of house on east side of railroad road. We find yard poorly protected.” Charles and Martha Benns recorded this lot in 1940, their #883. Recorded by John Sterling and James Wheaton for a 2004 book on South Kingstown cemeteries.
